Breast Uplift in Guernsey & Jersey
Mastopexy, also known as Breast Uplift, is a surgical procedure to reshape and raise breasts without altering the overall volume of the breast.
Mastopexy removes excess, sagging skin, tightens the existing breast tissue and repositions the areola, the darker skin surrounding the nipple.
Breast Uplift can be performed on its own or in conjunction with Breast Augmentation or Breast Reduction. Unlike other breast operations, this procedure does not dramatically alter the volume of your breasts, which are uplifted for a far more youthful and firm look.
Maxtopexy is an ideal solution for those wishing to have implants but whose breasts are not suitable due to the skin’s laxity and any droopiness apparent. We can create either a vertical scar, or an anchor scar, which will heal and improve in appearance over time. The benefit of having breast uplift surgery is that there are no foreign products implanted. The breasts becomes more pert and manageable, the skin is less saggy.
For those who are unsure or need help envisaging the results, our Cosmetic surgery partners have a 3D scanner that enables us to project a prototype of what the breasts will look like after the procedure. This is favourable amongst patients who simply need confirmation that their cleavage will improve as a result of surgery.
As well as repositioning the breast tissue and skin, we reallocate the nipple, with the underlying tissue still attached. This means that everything remains in proportion, while maintaining sensation and the ability to breast feed after surgery.
