Thermage FLX® works with your body’s natural mechanisms to boost collagen levels where they’re low. Collagen “made” in this manner is long-lasting, safe and best of all fully natural as it is created by your own fibroblast cells.
Thermage FLX™ is currently the latest generation of Thermage radiofrequency (RF) devices for skin tightening and a well-defined three-dimensional skin contour.
It is a premier, non-invasive radiofrequency (RF) FDA-approved CE marked therapy that can effectively smooth, tighten and contour skin for an overall younger-looking appearance.
Targeting the skin dermis layer where collagen fibers are found, Thermage FLX® uses patented monopolar radiofrequency that delivers a uniform heating effect that penetrates deep into the collagen-rich layers of the skin. This gentle heating causes the existing collagen tissue to tighten, stimulates the production of new collagen and helps to define contours. Thermage FLX integrates the Comfort Pulse Technology with the latest AccuREP technology that autotunes each pulse of energy for an even more precise and consistent treatment. Thermage FLX is known for its ability to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin and is recognised for its safety profile demonstrated in over 50 published clinical studies. Thermage has been the go to for many patients concerned with skin aging on their face, neck, arms, abdomen, knees and even the buttocks.
Immediately after a Thermage FLX® procedure, patients often have an immediate lift and their skin will feel tighter and smoother. Additional tightening will continue for the next 6 to 12 months. Unpublished reports indicate that results may continue for 24 months or longer. Because all individuals are different it is not possible to predict exact benefits, and some individuals may need additional treatments to achieve the desired effects.
Although complications following Thermage are infrequent, there are some risks associated with treatment which include:
Bruising and Swelling: Resolves in several days to several weeks.
Erythema or Blanching: Mild reddening or whitening of the skin for several hours.
Pigment changes: Less than 0.05% of patients have reported hyper-pigmentation.
Burns and Blisters: Less than 0.3% reported cases
Surface Irregularities: Including dents, rippling and ridges in the skin, which may not develop until a month after treatment. Low incidence of 0.2%, with most resolving naturally, or with soft tissue fillers.
Pain and altered sensation: Some patients have reported heat related discomfort and transient aching. A small number of patients, less than 0.1% have reported tingling, numbness and temporary paralysis
If you have any concerns regarding the procedure, you can discuss this with the specialist staff before your procedure and they will me more than happy to put your mind at ease.
This treatment starts from £995 for smaller areas such as the perioral area. £1,495 for upper OR lower face and £1,950 for full face and neck.
